Innovate Edmonton is pleased to share that our Vice-President, Cheryll Watson, has been appointed onto the Startup Genome Advisory Board. Watson is one of two Canadians on the 18-member board. Advisory board members are CEOs and other senior leaders at leading innovation and economic development authorities around the world.
Startup Genome is a top international research and policy advisory organization that helps governments committed to accelerating the growth and success of their startup ecosystems. It is headquartered in Silicon Valley, and provides research and advisory services globally.

The Startup Genome Advisory Board members are dedicated to advocating for solutions and supporting policies within the COVID-19 pandemic, from a tech ecosystem perspective. In response to COVID-19, they have created a COVID-19 Global Knowledge Base to gather input from around the globe and find relevant solutions.
