Attending an Event
Inside the Shaw Conference Centre
Events at the SCC take place on 3 levels of elegance. Display screens on each level guide attendees to the locations of the various events taking place each day.
Street Level
You enter the SCC at the top of the atrium, a bright, spacious area with escalators, stairs and elevators leading to the exhibit halls and meeting rooms. What you see of the SCC from Jasper Avenue is the tip of the iceberg; most of the SCC is built into the hillside below.
Pedway Level
Pedways connect the SCC to underground parking, major office buildings, hotels, shops, restaurants, and Edmonton’s Downtown Arts District. Administration offices are located on this floor.
Assembly Level
This level comfortably accommodates up to 6,000 people theatre-style. Alternatively, it can array 335 trade-show booths (10 feet by 10 feet) with room for crowds to peruse the booths’ displays.
Column-free Exhibit Space
The Assembly Level’s 82,000 square feet of wide open exhibit space can be divided into three halls. It has a 16,000-square-foot, carpeted lobby, convention VIP offices, and a 6-bay loading dock.

Meeting Room Level
How much space will your meeting or social function require? This level features 20 flexible rooms ranging from 395 to 3,720 square feet.

Hall D
Hall D was added to the SCC in 2006 to create a very impressive and capacious venue for large dinners, receptions, shows, or meetings. Hall D accommodates 1,200 guests for meals or receptions, or 2,000 in a theatre setting.
This newest space added 26,900 square feet to the Pedway Level, bringing its total area to 110,000 square feet. It enables the SCC to host large international conferences in a grand manner.
