Hosting participants at the Shaw Conference Centre (SCC) shows them how important they are. The impressiveness, the efficiencies, and the dignity of world-class facilities create a memorable and successful event.

One of our feature venues at the SCC is Hall D – “A room with a view for 2000.” Hall D offers a spectacular, panoramic view of Edmonton’s magnificent river valley.

The award-winning Shaw Conference Centre is conveniently situated in the heart of the city’s vibrant downtown core.

In 2008, the SCC implemented Simple Steps, an industry-leading guide for convention planners who wish to “green” their events. The SCC reduced garbage output by 40% in 12 months, diverting 110 tonnes of organic waste to the City’s composting facility, and recycling 25 tonnes of cardboard. Initiatives planned for 2009 include paperless registration and a food recovery program for Edmonton’s Food Bank.

Parking

Please note that parking is at a premium around the Shaw Conference Centre on weekends throughout May, June, and December. During this time, you may experience delays when using parking facilities in the area. As well, public service bulletins are periodically issued advising of events where there will be heavy demand for downtown parking. Consider car-pooling or public transportation as an alternative and help the environment in the process!
