Jeannie Papadopoulos started her career in Window Painting in a small town of 500 people (Consort Alberta Canada) when the entrepreneurial drug store owner asked her to paint their windows. Jeannie was a local artist who showed dogs and horses, owned her own horse training facility and painted portraits of show animals for a hobby.
Having never heard of "Window Painting" she contacted her sign painting friend Jake Danewald from Stettler Alberta 100 miles away. He graciously verbally walked her thru the process and mailed her the paint, brushes and supplies! What resulted was a passion to learn more of this sign art form. Jeannie attended NAIT (Northern Alberta Institute of Technology) in Edmonton Alberta Canada graduating with an Honors Degree in Commercial Signage in 1989 and went on to own her own Sign Shop for many years. Although she did not learn window painting in college she continued to teach herself how to make a thriving business of window painting. After 27 years of painting, due to repeated requests she started the first Window Painting Workshops to teach others this valuable, profitable skill. Since no schools feature an intense course of study on "window painting" of this specific type Jeannie offered periodic weekend workshops. Due to requests from as far away as Toronto-Vancouver and as far south as Texas and Florida she has made the workshop training available to all in the DVD format! She also continues to paint windows for her extensive clientele as well as indoor and outdoor murals.
