Edmonton is thrilled to have been chosen as one of the six host cities for the upcoming FIFA U-20 World Cup Canada 2007. This event is a three-week long, 24 nation, 52-match tournament featuring the best under 20 players in the world.
It is the second largest event staged by FIFA after the FIFA World Cup, including such graduates as Maradona, Saviola, Luis Figo, Rui Costa, Adriano and Messi. Canada’s graduates include Craig Forrest, Julian de Guzman, Paul Stalteri, Atiba Hutchinson and Iain Hume.
