The Shaw Conference Centre is currently looking for a full time Demi Chef de Partie to join our team. This role will assist the Chef de Partie in supervising, planning, organizing, coordinating, training and evaluating the activities of kitchen staff engaged in their specific job tasks, thereby ensuring that all SCC Standards of Excellence are achieved.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a similar role
• Health and Safety and Food Hygiene awareness
• Inter-provincial journeyman cook certificate
• Excellent knife handling skills and knowledge of tools & equipment
• Good verbal communication and leadership skills, ability to motivate staff
• A well-developed sense of taste and smell
• Ability to prioritize, access problems and make prompt decisions
• Capable of lifting up to 50lbs
• Must be available 24/7
